Roost
Farm-to-table Southern-inspired menu next to the Hyatt Regency on NOMA Square, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Has a covered outdoor patio.
Fork and Plough
Restaurant, market and butcher shop using local and regional farms; the menu changes often. Known for its burger and weekend brunch.
UP on the Roof
Rooftop restaurant and bar overlooking the Reedy River, with small plates and cocktails.
The Trappe Door
Belgian restaurant in a downstairs space off Main Street with a long Belgian beer list.

Good Karma Ice Cream
Old-fashioned scoop shop serving Hershey's ice cream in dozens of flavors, with homemade waffle cones and a candy counter. Shares a storefront with That's Karma boutique.
You Drive Me Glazy
In the old Dixie Milling building on the Doodle Trail, with outdoor seating.
Methodical Coffee
Greenville specialty coffee roaster; this Main Street cafe is its original location.
Byrd's Famous Cookies
Bite-size cookies from a Savannah bakery dating to 1924, with a cookie bar where you can sample before you buy. The key lime cooler is the best seller.
Kilwins
Ice cream, fudge, caramel apples and chocolates, many made in the shop's open kitchen. On a Main Street plaza with outdoor tables, and open late on weekends.
Biscuit Head
Large cathead biscuits with gravies and a jam bar.

Things to do near Easley and Greenville
In downtown Greenville
Falls Park on the Reedy and Liberty Bridge
A 32-acre park around the Reedy River falls at the south end of Main Street. The Liberty Bridge is a 345-ft curved pedestrian suspension bridge over the falls. Free.
Main Street, downtown Greenville
Tree-lined Main Street runs from Falls Park north past shops, restaurants and the Peace Center. On-street parking is free (watch time limits).
Swamp Rabbit Trail
Paved walking and biking trail network (32+ miles) along the Reedy River linking Travelers Rest, Furman University, downtown Greenville (Falls Park, Unity Park, Cleveland Park) and Conestee Nature Preserve.
Unity Park
Free 60-acre city park just west of downtown with four large playgrounds, open lawns, a historic baseball field and a Swamp Rabbit Trail connection.
With kids
Greenville Zoo
Small zoo inside Cleveland Park, a manageable half-day with young kids.
The Children's Museum of the Upstate
Three floors of hands-on exhibits for children up to about age 12 (best for preschool through 5th grade). Paid parking in the Heritage Green deck. Good rainy-day option.
Escape Artist Greenville
Escape rooms for 2–8 players. Recommended for ages 6 and up; under-16s need an adult; age 5 and under not allowed in the horror rooms.
Flying Rabbit Adventures
Outdoor ropes and zipline course. Main course for ages 7–8 and up (at least 50 in. tall). Book online. Closes for lightning within 10 miles.

Paris Mountain State Park
17 miles of trails; most are shared with mountain bikes.
Conestee Nature Preserve
About 13 miles of trails, including more than 6 paved miles and a boardwalk; wildlife viewing decks over the lake. Connects to the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
Table Rock State Park
Saluda Lake Landing
On Saluda Lake, a short drive from the house. Public boat ramp and lakeside cafe. Under-12s must be with an adult to kayak or paddleboard. Dogs welcome.

On Furman University's campus. Collared shirts required; no denim.

Value option on the north side of Greenville.

Upcountry History Museum
Peace Center
Downtown's main theater for touring Broadway shows, concerts and comedy. Check the calendar for your dates.
Greenville County Museum of Art
Free admission. Holds the world's largest public collection of Andrew Wyeth watercolors, plus Jasper Johns works.
Game day in Clemson
Clemson Memorial Stadium
Memorial Stadium is about 45 minutes away, so a group can come back to the lake after the game.
